My little baby doll

Well we had load shedding today, so I used the time to take a few pics of Kayli. Does she not look like a little doll with that outfit?

More Kayli pics

We were sitting in the garden on Saturday afternoon, and I snapped these photos of Kayli. Jaclynn hates the camera so I could not get any decent shots of her.

Our Holiday - 22 December 2007

We woke up quite early on the Saturday morning, mainly due to Kayli's hunger pains! Our breakfast arrived at our room at 08h00 and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The weather in Cape Town looked stunning, we could not wait to get out of the hotel. We went to the Waterfront with the hotel transfer service, in the bus was a couple from England and we started chatting to them, giving them ideas on what to do in Cape Town. We saw them again on Saturday night and they thanked us for the excellent ideas - they thoroughly enjoyed their day. At the Waterfront, we did a bit of shopping, then we sat down at the V&A Hotel for drinks. It was extremely hot outside but we sat under an umbrella and the kids had sunblock on. It was quite funny, we saw "extreme rowing", it was a team of people rowing a canoe (or something like that?) and their leader was constantly shouting out orders. This during the hottest time of the day - crazy! But it was quite interesting to watch! :-)

Our Holiday - 21 December 2007

Cape Town we are on our way!!!

We got up early on Friday 21 December to finish up our packing as our transfer to the airport was arriving at 12h00. Jaclynn was so excited she could not stop talking about the airplane, sea and "donkiefyntjie" (dolphin). Most of our clothes were at the laundromat for ironing, they promised us that they will have it ready by 11h00 latest. Well when Jacques got there just before 11h00, it seemed like they forgot about their promise as they have not even started ironing! They quickly got together 6 ladies and by 11h30 they were done!

Our transfer arrived just before 12h00 and he had us at the airport before 13h00. we immediately checked in and then we were able to go sit in the executive lounge and relax a bit after a hectic morning. We had to check in early to make sure we get seats together - our flight was only at 17h30!

When it was time to board the plane, Jaclynn was ecstatic to see that we had to go to the plane on a bus. Once on the plane, we did not wait long to take off and everything went well. Jaclynn, who sat at the window, could only say "WOW!" when she saw how high up in the air we were. I was a bit disappointed with the service on the flight, we only got the food 1/2 hour before descent! Jaclynn was still busy chewing on a piece of bread when descent began, and all of a sudden her ears started aching. She refused to swallow or drink anything, even when one of the passengers sitting in front of us gave her sweeties, she shoved it into her ears! LOL! Kayli was ok, she just cried when she heard her sister's crying. We landed at 19h30, and had to wait another 15 minutes as there was no bus to take us to arrivals. Then we had to go get the rental car. We left the airport well after 20h00.

We headed to Bloubergstrand (Blowfish restaurant), as we had to go and pay a deposit for our Christmas lunch - we got the last table and if we did not pay the deposit we would have lost it. We finally headed to the Southern Sun Waterfront hotel where we were staying the Friday and Saturday nights. We arrived there just before 10h00, both kids fast asleep. The hotel was stunning - there was this huge Christmas tree with fairy lights in the foyer. Our room was huge and it looked like it was newly furnished. After getting room service, we got into bed as we were exhausted!
